Modern Boudoir

Honoring the Bodies our Mothers and Grandmothers passed down to us

I've been professionally photographing women since 2014 and along the way I decided to ditch the male gaze to focus on shooting women the way I saw them: playful + powerful.

In order to do that, I hold space for you - giving you the opportunity to embrace your personal style, show off your assets and celebrate being you all while channeling the almighty Blanche Devereaux.

In my experience, feeling empowered doesn't come from using an excessive amount of props/costumes. This genre isn't a performance, it's an embodiment.

I'll hold your hand along the way, this session is designed with you in mind. You don't have to figure out what to wear, what to bring, how to do your hair or make-up. I will take care of it, and you, gorgeously.

Are you ready to honor yourself?

“I was not expecting the emotional reaction I had to seeing my photos. I felt like they revealed to me a strength of femininity I hadn't recognized in myself before."

"I felt beautiful. I felt unique. I felt like I was honoring the body my mother and grandmothers passed down to me."

“Krysta isn't just talented in her photography, she has an actual gift in seeing in women what we can't see in ourselves and in putting her clients at ease. Nothing about the entire process was degrading or humbling. Krysta knows how to help you feel strong and beautiful. She gives you permission to be a full and unashamed woman in your images."

"SHE HAS AN ACTUAL GIFT IN SEEING IN WOMEN WHAT WE CAN'T SEE IN OURSELVES"

"I was so thrilled to receive my album from Krysta! The quality is gorgeous and she has such an excellent eye for how to set up a cohesive and beautiful series of photos. From start to finish my experience working with her was phenomenal and SUCH a confidence booster going into my wedding! If you are on the fence I'm here to tell you to BOOK IT! You will NOT regret it!"

"I'M HERE TO TELL YOU TO BOOK IT! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!"

"Boudoir isn’t for me, at least not right now. I need to lose/gain <insert a number that truly doesn’t matter> pounds."

Boudoir is for anyone who has a body. Period. If you’ve got a body it was built for boudoir. Your body is a wonderful, distinctive and precious vessel that serves you every day. It should be celebrated. It’s my job to help you see it through photographs, so you can then feel it.

"Krysta simultaneously makes you feel hot yet totally comfortable"

Before the shoot, Krysta was super helpful with picking out my outfits and readily answered any question I had about the process. She really made sure I knew exactly what to expect. She starts the session out with hair and makeup and a chat over coffee before you get started, which really helped me feel comfortable. Krysta really goes above and beyond to make sure you feel at ease in her studio. I had no idea how to pose or what to do with my hands, but Krysta didn't allow me to feel uncomfortable for a second, as she posed me so naturally and had such an eye for good poses.

A week later, we met again over Zoom to go over the gallery reveal of the photos, which was basically just Krysta and me excitedly yelling over how obsessed we were with the photos for about an hour.
