GRATITUDES + BREAKTHROUGHS // SEPTEMBER 6, 2016

Gratitudes
Fall Minis are back after many requests! I’m holding the months of October + November open for flexible scheduling. That means no designated dates for marathon sessions and you can select the dates and times that will work best for you! Sessions are 25 minutes long and include 12 edited images from the session as well as a print release. The gallery will be delivered with in 7 days. It’s the perfect time to get those updated family photos for holiday cards, couples portraits to celebrate your relationship, fun pictures with friends or even your dog! All sessions will be located on a private property in Aldie, Virginia. Shoot me an email to get on my calendar at info(at)krystanorman.com, I can’t wait to see you!
I am so grateful for a lazy weekend. It seems like with the traveling I’ve been doing recently as well as business obligations and family time I haven’t had time to veg out. I needed a full day of sitting in a t-shirt and underwear binge watching a Netflix show to really feed my soul. And I did just that on Sunday, I was absolutely worthless. I alternated napping, snacking and watching all day. Toward the end of the day I started to feel a little shameful for not being productive, but I will say when I woke up on Monday I felt ready to tackle the week. Sometimes those disconnected, slow and unproductive days are needed, especially in a world that prides itself on constant movement, motivation and accomplishments.
September brought with it a new breath in my fitness routine. The boyfriend and I actually ran together on Monday (2 miles) together with our pups on the property. We moved slowly passed the soybean and sod fields as we were trying to maintain our composure without looking completely out of breath. I think we each secretly were trying to convince the other they were in better shape. We found out together that we are both out of shape as we were sore this morning. The additional good news would be that we didn’t want to kill each other while working out together. Maybe this will actually catch on and we will be one of those “swolemate” couples. If we aren’t, I’m happy being a take-out dinner and sleeping in late during the week couple.
I realize it’s only September but I’m happy to report I already started my Christmas shopping. I’m really hoping this year I can knock it all out before December hits so I won’t feel as stressed out. I should probably be honest though and admit that when I say I started my shopping I mean I purchased one adorable dog toy for my sister’s French Bulldog Godzilla. But, it’s a step in the right direction… right? One down, 100 more to go.
Seeing as my nail polish has held up over the weekend, I’m going to keep with A Grape Fit! Although this time I’m adding it to my toes. Next week if the weather stays cool I feel like I’ll be transitioning back to my deeper reds, soft grays and taupes just like new Washington D.C. Collection. Is anyone else out there excited for this?!
Breakthroughs
I’m going to leave this blank for this week. Sometimes breakthroughs just don’t seem apparent. Here’s to hoping there is one for next week.
As always, thanks for reading. xoxo.9
